MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Since it’s founding in 2007, the United States Global Institute (USGI) has been dedicated to providing access to education and success via scholarships for the needy in Vietnam nationwide.

The USGI and Tan Tao University share this common bond and together strive to ensure that all students of need have the opportunity to reach their full potential with a degree in higher education. This degree not only benefits the student,  the country as a whole is also enriched and revitalized.

Tan Tao is one of the first universities in Vietnam modeled after the non-profit, advanced curriculum standards of the United States.  The faculty is of the highest caliber, many with multiple achievements and awards for excellence in scientific research and teaching and all of who have their doctorates from international universities and research institutes such as the USA, Italy, France, Japan, Korea and Canada.

All the classes are taught entirely in English (School of Business and Economics, School of Engineering, School of Humanities and Languages, School of Biotechnology and the School of Medicine). The purpose of this bilingual training are numerous. Two of the main advantages of this bilingual education are it helps to ensure future doctors secure work in hospitals either in Vietnam or internationally and it also allows for the interchange of students between the U.S. and Vietnam.

 The USGI's scholarship program provides opportunities to many underprivileged students, who, without these opportunities may never have had a chance for success.

The USGI is seeking private funds to enhance Tan Tao’s ability to meet the higher education needs of the community, particularly toward a level of excellence that would otherwise not be possible if it were not for the scholarships provided. To that end, I would like you to consider making a donation to the USGI. The recognition of your gift may take many forms, one such option we can offer is the naming of Tan Tao facilities, campus grounds and academic programs recognizing an individual’s high scholarly distinction, devotion, distinguished service, or a generous gift.
