The School of Biotechnology of Tan Tao University has been developed with the objective of offering high quality education and doing research in biotechnology and applied biology. The School of Biotechnology has the requisite strengths in the fields of stem cells, cell reprogramming, biomedicine and medicine, animal cloning, assisted reproductive technologies, artificial organs, practical application of animal models for human diseases. With international-standard educational environment, the School of Biotechnology will definitely emerge to become a premier biotechnology research center in Vietnam and in the world.

Education Objectives
The 21st century is defined as the era of biotechnology. Graduates from the School of Biotechnology will have the opportunity to obtain jobs in the industrial and biotechnology fields and research areas based on the equipped knowledge of biotechnology and applied biology.

The School of Biotechnology of TTU is the first Vietnamese school in the biotechnology field providing in-depth courses in advanced assisted reproductive technologies to students. Second-year students and professionals at the IVF Center of Tan Tao Hospital can directly practice and monitor egg intake technique, egg quality examination, egg activation, sperm evaluation and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), In vitro diagnostics (IVD)…in the fertilized mouse egg model.

With the unique mouse egg properties, if its success rate reaches 80% by ICSI techniques, it will achieve 100% success when performing ICSI on human eggs for the infertility treatment.

Job opportunities after graduation
After graduating from the School of Biotechnology, students can continue to pursue higher education, overseas study, or work at the pharmaceutical companies and biotechnology centers, IVF centers, genetic and cell therapy hospitals and animal biotech companies.
